Horrible Histories Magazine comes to iPhone and iPad

Our six-year-old hasn’t quite got the Horrible Histories bug yet. I’m nudging him towards it for purely selfish reasons: so I can watch lots of episodes of the marvelously gruesome children’s TV show.

If your kids are already fans, here’s some good news: the official Horrible Histories magazine has just launched a digital edition for iPhone and iPad.

Horrible histories magazine

Published by Immediate Media, it promises the “funniest, foulest and goriest magazine you’ll ever see”, with each issue delivered through Apple’s Newsstand system. You can buy a subscription for £10.49 for six months or £14.99 for a year via an in-app subscription, although we’re assuming you’ll also be able to buy individual issues.

“If you dare, you’ll discover so much stuff about the awful Egyptians, rotten Romans, terrible Tudors, vile Victorians, and more that you’ll become a horrible expert,” explains its App Store listing.

Horrible Histories Magazine is a free download for iPhone and iPad on Apple’s App Store.
