Sesame Street Makes Music with a new app
Music has always been a big part of the appeal of Sesame Street, so it’s no surprise to see its latest app taking a musical turn.
The app is called Sesame Street Makes Music, and it aims to get kids exploring the world of music-making with some familiar furry friends.
“Join the Sesame Street band, and rock out with your favorite characters to six classic songs,” explains the App Store listing for this iPhone and iPad app.
“Get transported to a tropical island, where your child can play the vibraphone in a reggae version of If You’re Happy and You Know It, or to a family farm for a jug band rendition of Old McDonald.”
There are serious music-making lessons to be learned here, from different instruments to how tempo affects songs. Ernie, Abby, Elmo, and Cookie Monster are all there to help, with eight instruments to explore.
The app is colorful, creative, and very fun. Sesame Street Makes Music costs £2.29 for iPhone and iPad from Apple’s App Store.
